The film was made as one of seven episodes from the feature film titled The Seven Sacraments of Canudos, a co- production with ZDF German TV and the Franco-German channel ARTE. The Order is an average film that tells the story of the escape of Captain Lamarca from the barracks Quitauna in Osasco, in 1969, when with a cargo of weapons decides to join the armed struggle and ends up being hunted and killed in the backlands of Bahia in 1972.
