IT IS HARD (Tá Russo)

Documentary, 35mm, Black and white, 11 min – 1984

The film shows the drama of the unemployed in October 1983, set up camp at Ibirapuera Park in Sao Paulo, in front of the Legislature. For 34 days they braved rain and mud protesting unemployment existing in that moment of crisis in Brazil. The film is narrated in Russian with subtitles in Portuguese slang due to existing in Brazil says that when something is very difficult because it is hard "is Russian." And also due to a tribute to Russian cinema of Eisenstein.
